I am Peter Mikuš

Recently I have been working as an event coordinator and marketer for ESN Brno. In this position I have gained experience with the organization of events from creating the initial idea to execute on the whole event and leading people to achieve the goal.

During this time I have been working as a marketer and I had responsibility for creating content for social media, copywriting blog posts and creating graphical materials associated with the campaigns.

When I started with this position I was part of the The team that made the first conference for 350 people. During this time I was responsible for logistics and budgeting.

Second smaller conference (100 people) I have been a team leader for three people and this time I was responsible for the whole conference.

The last project I was responsible for was recruitment. In this position, I have been responsible for creating The interview process for new applicants and filling all of the open positions. Was also involved in the marketing campaign for recruitment.

Thanks to my time at AIESEC, I had the opportunity, after working some time as a marketing associate, to lead my own marketing team. I, together with the help of my team, was responsible for online and offline campaigns. Two major campaigns I had an opportunity to create and work on are: 1.) sales promotion campaign, in which we did offline events combined with online advertising to boost the number of sales, and 2.) recruitment campaign to find new members, for which the picture was taken.

I have been working in sales for three differenct organisations. First one was back in highschool when I was working as financial advisor. This was my first experience which as we all know people don´t like financial advisor that much, but the education system that was focused on improvement and self-development gave me a good starting point for future jobs.

Second sales position was in AIESEC where on this position I was part of the team that was selling to the companies. The product was the position for an international intern with fees of course. I have been one of two people who have managed to make a sale in that term. The job required finding potential clients and establishing first contact, scheduling meeting and then selling the actual product. Clasic sales with post sale service.

Next selling experience comes from working for EV holding during the summer. I have started because I needed some money but managed to impress the manager who have moved to another country and I have became temporaty office manager until they would find a replacement. If I would not have school I most likely would have been able to keep the managerial job, but at that time finishing school was my priority.

I have been recruiter for AIESEC for two semesters. In both of them me and my team have managed to fill all of the available volunteering positions. During second semester I had opportunity to manage the whole process. Colaboration with marketing department, creation of interview process, referecing the postions and finding the indeal candidates based on the results of numerous interviews. All communication between the teamleaders and vice-presidents and their requirements for the positions and my team.

During covid I was working in human resources of production company for few months to help while the human resource manager was on pregnancy leave. My responsibilities were similar to those spend in recruitment with communicating with prodution leaders to create and post new positions. Interviewing and hiring candidates. Because the covid-19 was raging and the lockdown was affecting everyone my responsibilities were expanded to managing logistics around the pandemic such as following the newest rules and global testing for the company workers.

Through university, I have worked with the team on market research for NeoVize. The goal of the research was to better understand the decision-making process of potential customers of the company. To achieve this we used semi-structured interviews to understand the process and based on the answers the questionnaire was created. To get the actual advice the statistical analysis was performed. We have then mapped the whole decision-making process and presented advice on what to address in their marketing campaigns.

The goal of the campaign was to introduce new functionality of the web (calory calculator). Based on the market research and analysis of the competitors the campaign was created with the timeline of posts and graphical design for the overall campaign and individual type of posts within a given budget.

During my studies, I have worked on multiple projects with the school. Of which most recent ones have been orientation week and open day. During the orientation week, I was communicating with heads of departments to finalize the program from each part of the faculty (sometimes it wasn't as easy as it sounds).

While doing PhD research, I worked for the video game company Bohemia Interactive as a community management intern. During this time, I had an opportunity to learn about the development process and the work in the IT environment. One of the benefits of working with the community was the necessity of learning JIRA for creating tickets and tracking the progress of any issues that have been pointed out by the community while at the same time communicating with customers about their issues with the game while keeping them engaged with the company and the title.

I have started learning programing and the first two languages I have learned were HTML and CSS. This webpage is my project of creating a website and considering I have been learning for few weeks only I think it turned out better than expected. Before I have been making my sited trough wordpress where I have just downloaded library and extentions I have needed, but the site was really show. Now that I am able to actually write code and make thing appear on the screen... Amazing feeling, want to keep improving, next up - make web interactive with JavaScript.
